Outpatient Procedures
Outpatient nurses may perform procedures such as but not limited to:
PICC line insertion and maintenance
Synvisc and orthovisc knee injections but patient must be scheduled and seen by Dr. Buckle
Wound care limited-no provider to write orders must have specific wound care orders
Therapeutic Phlebotomy
Paracentesis-must be scheduled through Dr. Vasser
Foley catheter insertion/care/changes
Wound Vac
Access and flush implanted port a cath
Medications Provided
Outpatient nurses may care for patients with chronic illnesses and autoimmune diseases and able to provide medications such as:
IVIG- Gamagaurd, gammunex-C, Privigen, Octagam
Venofer IV infusion
Feraheme IV infusion
IV hydration
Solumedrol 1gm IV infusion
PRBC IV infusions (1units to 2 units in one day)
to get type and screen and crossmatched one day then transfuse next day
Transfusion only Monday-Friday
Reclast IV infusion
Prolia 60mg subq injection
Evenity subq injection
Aranesp subq injection
Entyvio 300mg IV infusion
Ocrevus IV infusion
Aduhelm IV infusion
Leqembi IV infusion (ordered by neurologist)
Prolia 60mg subq injection

Antibiotics Provided
Common antibiotics given include:
Vancomycin IV infusion
Ertapenem IM or IV injection
Rocephin IM or IV
Dalvance 1500mg
Levaquin
Gentamicin
Linezolid
If daily antibiotics are needed, Columbus Community Hospital Med/Surg staff can provide medication on weekends/holidays.
