Outpatient Services

At Columbus Community Hospital, our outpatient nurses provide expert care for patients managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Whether you’re dealing with less severe symptoms that require short-term treatment or ongoing health needs, our team is here to support you.

Our outpatient services include:

  • Short-term treatments for acute illnesses

  • Long-term care for chronic conditions

  • Monthly injections and maintenance therapies

  • Daily antibiotics and infusion treatments

  • Columbus Community Hospital | 110 Shult Drive

Outpatient Procedures

Outpatient nurses may perform procedures such as but not limited to:

  • PICC line insertion and maintenance

  • Synvisc and orthovisc knee injections but patient must be scheduled and seen by Dr. Buckle

  • Wound care limited-no provider to write orders must have specific wound care orders

  • Therapeutic Phlebotomy

  • Paracentesis-must be scheduled through Dr. Vasser

  • Foley catheter insertion/care/changes

  • Wound Vac

  • Access and flush implanted port a cath

Medications Provided

Outpatient nurses may care for patients with chronic illnesses and autoimmune diseases and able to provide medications such as:

  • IVIG- Gamagaurd, gammunex-C, Privigen, Octagam

  • Venofer IV infusion

  • Feraheme IV infusion

  • IV hydration

  • Solumedrol 1gm IV infusion

  • PRBC IV infusions (1units to 2 units in one day)

    • to get type and screen and crossmatched one day then transfuse next day

    • Transfusion only Monday-Friday

  • Reclast IV infusion

  • Prolia 60mg subq injection

  • Evenity subq injection

  • Aranesp subq injection

  • Entyvio 300mg IV infusion

  • Ocrevus IV infusion

  • Aduhelm IV infusion

  • Leqembi IV infusion (ordered by neurologist)

  • Prolia 60mg subq injection

  • Leqvio

Antibiotics Provided

Common antibiotics given include:

  • Vancomycin IV infusion

  • Ertapenem IM or IV injection

  • Rocephin IM or IV

  • Dalvance 1500mg

  • Levaquin

  • Gentamicin

  • Linezolid

  • If daily antibiotics are needed, Columbus Community Hospital Med/Surg staff can provide medication on weekends/holidays.
